The aim of this site is to record and share some of my favorite recipes and what to do with all the fresh produce from the garden.  I learned the art of clipping recipes and storing recipes in a kitchen drawer, from my mother.  We have both graduated to a more civilized and organized method of collecting recipes.  But, that too, has grown to overflowing.

You will find recipes for low fat, low salt, low sugar or no sugar, whole grains and some 'just can't live without' old favorites.  There are plenty of ideas on how to deal with an abundant harvest from the garden - like the year of the ton (literally) of sweet potatoes, or the fall of 34 pumpkins on the kitchen floor (only about half a ton).

Nutrition information is available, where available, for each recipe.  You may want to look at Nutrition Analysis Tool and System for further information. http://www.nat.uiuc.edu/mynat/ then go to the button at the left NAT Tool Version 2.0 in order to enter the foods that you wish to analyze.  You can analyze an entire recipe by continuing to add the ingredients.  This is a free nutrition analysis tool developed at the University of Illinois.
